Roger Parent’s debut feature-length documentary, From Sherbrooke to Brooks, produced at the NFB’s Canadian Francophonie Studio by Dominic Desjardins, will have its world premiere on Sunday,  Oct. 9, in both of the cities in which the film was shot: in Sherbrooke, Quebec, in its original French version, as the closing screening of the Semaine sherbrookoise des rencontres interculturelles, and in Brooks, in its original French version with English subtitles, at the Griffin Park Theatre.

As autumn approaches once again, local artists are busy creating, inspired by the natural rhythms of this prairie world. These artists, who have taught themselves to see the subtle treasures hiding beyond the roadsides, are committed to sharing their discoveries through their artistic creations.

Swift Current author Anthea Loran is sharing a lifetime of personal memories and life experiences in her new publication Recollections and Reflections.

Linda Ohama, a native of Rainier, has her latest documentary project featured at the Calgary Film Festival which started Sept. 21 and ends Oct. 2.
