Local Victims Services volunteers were recognized at an appreciation dinner hosted by Southwest Victims Services on Oct. 19 in Swift Current.

For the past 35 years, youth in Swift Current have had a great reason to stay out of trouble on Halloween – the annual Spookerama dances held in two locations within the community.

Swift Current United Way is kicking off their Fall Campaign with a breakfast this year on Nov. 9, from 7:30 - 9:15 a.m.  Doors will open at 7 a.m. 

People gathered on a patch of land just north of Swift Current on Oct. 12 to dig out potatoes for a good cause.

October is Women's Cancer Awareness Month and starting Oct. 4 and running for the month of October, Smart Flowers will once again sell pink carnations for 99 cents each with 50 cents from every carnation sold going to Breast Cancer Research with the Southwest Unit of the Canadian Cancer Society.

The Cowgirl Cattle Company (CCC) supper was held on Sept. 29 at Consul's Community Centre.
