For the second consecutive year, The Hearing Place in conjunction with Swift Current United Way ran a promotion that encouraged people to have their hearing assessed by a clinical audiologist. All proceeds from Hearing Assessments done in December were donated to Swift Current United Way to support local community programs.
"We are continually grateful for the increase in partnerships we have built in our community over the past few years”, stated Schwartz. “Authentic change and local impact is created when we are able to collaborate with one another. Thank you to Brad and Caryn, along with their team at The Hearing Place for their generosity and ongoing commitment to help us support numerous community programs. Our donors and investors truly are the backbone of Swift Current United Way."
Sadly, most people don’t include their hearing as part of the regular healthcare routine. It is a widely
supported statistic that people will go on average seven years before seeking assistance with a recognized loss of hearing. This promotion encouraged people to get their hearing assessed and in doing so it supports the local chapter of the United Way.
“We understand just how important overall hearing health is to our clients’ lives and if we can get someone to take that first step regardless of motivation we feel good about that”, said Business Manager Brad Woods. “As proud parents and dedicated community members, we are proud to support excellent organizations like United Way Swift Current, so essentially it’s a win/win for us”.
